Full height posts run all the way down to the ground, so the porch stands on its own legs and frames the doorway from top to bottom. Half height posts are shorter and suit a porch that lands on an existing low wall, plinth or step rather than on the path. Both options come in twos or fours, and both use the same 95mm by 95mm redwood.

Both are 1.22m deep, which is enough to stand under with the door open. The 1.8m width covers a standard single door and the step in front of it. Take the 2.4m width if the opening is wider, if there is a side light beside the door, or if you want the canopy to line up with something else on the elevation rather than stopping short of it.
