The Scudo suits plots where a wall-mounted carport is not an option. Standing on its own posts, it can be sited mid-drive, in a courtyard or set apart from the house, wherever the parking actually needs to be.

The concealed rear drainage makes it a tidy neighbour along a boundary, and its standalone nature means it shelters the car without touching or altering the building itself.

The Scudo can be self-assembled. It arrives as a kit with all the fixings and instructions, and it stands on its own posts, so the base and anchoring need to be spot on. If you would rather not do it yourself, our approved network can fit it for you.

Either way you need a solid, level base such as concrete or block paving, plus clear access for the materials. Whether you build it yourself or we fit it, set aside about one to two days depending on size and ground conditions.

Wash the powder-coated aluminium frame and posts with warm soapy water two or three times a year. As the Scudo often stands in the open, it can pick up more airborne dirt and pollen, so an extra wash in spring keeps it fresh.

Check the concealed rear drainage as well as the gutters. Because this run-off is routed out of sight, it is easy to forget, so clear any debris each season to keep it flowing freely.

Keep abrasive pads and harsh solvents away from the coating, and dry the frame after washing to avoid water marks on an exposed structure.

The aluminium frame is covered for 5 years against paint defects such as peeling, blistering or premature deterioration in normal use. Any integrated lighting is covered for 2 years.

In coastal, high-moisture or chemical environments the paint cover reduces to 2 years. The warranty is for normal residential use and excludes misuse, lack of maintenance, storm or snow damage beyond specification, and unauthorised modification.

The Scudo is made to order. Stocked sizes are dispatched in around 7 days, while made-to-order configurations take roughly 14 to 16 days to build.

Once it is ready, we deliver it to you to assemble, or our approved network arranges a fitting date to suit you. Have the base laid and access clear beforehand.

Fully independent parking

The Scudo Aluminium Carport is a premium freestanding shelter designed to protect your vehicle while enhancing the appearance of your outdoor space. Combining contemporary aluminium styling with practical weather protection, the Scudo offers a modern alternative to traditional garages and standard carports.

As a fully independent structure, the Scudo can be positioned in a variety of locations around your property, creating a dedicated covered parking area exactly where it is needed. Its clean architectural design complements both modern and traditional homes, delivering a sleek, uncluttered appearance that integrates seamlessly into any setting.

Manufactured from durable powder-coated aluminium, the Scudo is built for long-term outdoor performance with minimal maintenance. The robust frame resists corrosion, fading and weathering, while the roofing system provides reliable protection from rain, wind and direct sunlight.

Close

Park anywhere on plot

Site the carport out in the open, away from the house, wherever the parking makes sense. With no wall needed, the Vano goes mid-drive, across a courtyard, or at the far end of the garden.

No wall required

Cover the car on a plot where there is no suitable house wall to fix to. The Scudo stands entirely on its own posts, so a boundary, a detached spot or an open drive is no obstacle.

Tidy at the back

Concealed rear drainage keeps run-off out of sight and off the neighbouring fence or path. Rain is carried down through the structure rather than spilling off a visible back gutter.

A standalone shelter

Use it purely as a vehicle shelter set apart from the house, keeping the car dry without altering the building. It reads as a clean, deliberate structure in its own right.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Scudo needs no house wall, so it can sit wherever the parking works best on your plot. That makes it the answer for open drives, detached spots and layouts where there simply is no suitable wall to fix a carport to.

Rainwater is carried down through the structure rather than off an exposed back gutter. This keeps run-off away from a neighbouring fence, path or boundary, and gives the rear of the carport a cleaner look with nothing on show.

It carries all its load on its own posts, so the base must be solid and level across the full footprint. We confirm the requirement at the site check, but plan for a proper foundation rather than fixing partly into the house.

Yes, that is the point of it. Because it is fully self-supporting it can stand mid-drive, in a courtyard or at a distance from the building, giving you freedom over siting that a wall-mounted carport cannot match.

Anchored correctly to a proper base, a freestanding carport is entirely stable in normal UK conditions. The engineering assumes it stands alone, so the base preparation and anchoring need doing properly, whether you build it yourself or have our network fit it.
