The Rimessa uses laminated safety glass specified for overhead use. The interlayer holds the panes together if the glass is ever broken, so it stays in place rather than falling clear, which is why it is trusted above a parked car and the people getting in and out of it.

The glass roof is pitched so rain and melting snow run to the gutter. Heavy snow should still be cleared in extreme weather, from ground level with a soft roof rake rather than by standing on the panels, as the warranty covers normal loading rather than exceptional storm build-up beyond the rated specification.

The Rimessa is supplied as a single-bay span and a second bay cannot be added to it later, so agree the width before ordering. If you know you will need to cover two cars, the modular Tetto is the one to look at.

Water runs off the pitched glass into an integrated gutter and down through the posts, keeping the drive clear of run-off. Keep the channels free of leaves so the system flows properly through autumn and winter.
