Product information

The Rimessa is a polycarbonate roof carport built for driveways that deserve better than a standard shelter. solar-control polycarbonate panels span up to seven metres on just two posts, letting light through while keeping the car protected. Integrated LED lighting and a fully concealed gutter system are built in as standard — no visible pipework, no compromise on the lines. The result is covered parking that reads as part of the property rather than an afterthought bolted onto the front of it.

The Rimessa suits homeowners who want a carport that shelters the car without darkening the drive. The polycarbonate roof keeps the frontage bright, which matters on properties where a solid roof would loom over a window or block light to the house.

Beyond parking, the covered, well-lit span works as a dry spot to wash the car, store bikes under cover, or shield a doorway from driving rain. Fitted with lighting as standard, it stays useful long after dark.

The Rimessa can be self-assembled. It arrives as a kit with all the fixings and instructions, and the lightweight polycarbonate roof panels are straightforward to handle, although an extra pair of hands is still useful for positioning them safely. If you would rather not do it yourself, our approved network can fit it for you.

Either way you need a solid, level base such as concrete or block paving, plus clear access for the materials. Have a power supply nearby for the LED lighting. Whether you build it yourself or we fit it, set aside about one to two days depending on size and ground conditions.

Wash the powder-coated aluminium frame with warm soapy water two or three times a year, more often near busy roads where traffic film builds up. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth so no streaks are left on the finish.

Clean the polycarbonate roof with mild soapy water and a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Avoid scourers, solvents and harsh chemicals, which can scratch or cloud the panels.

Clear leaves and grit from the gutter and the drainage runs inside the posts each season. Blocked channels are the main cause of overflow and premature wear, so a few minutes here protects the whole structure.

The aluminium frame carries a 5 year warranty against paint faults such as peeling, blistering or premature deterioration in normal use. The integrated LED lighting is covered for 2 years.

In coastal, high-moisture or chemical settings the paint cover reduces to 2 years, as salt and airborne chemicals speed up wear. The warranty applies to normal residential use and excludes misuse, neglect, storm or snow damage beyond the rated load, and any unauthorised alteration.

The Rimessa is made to order. Stocked sizes are dispatched in around 7 days, while made-to-order configurations take roughly 14 to 16 days to build.

Once it is ready, we deliver it to you to assemble, or our approved network arranges a fitting date to suit you. Have the base laid and access clear beforehand, plus a power supply ready near the carport for the LED lighting.

Polycarbonate Roof Aluminium Carport | The Rimessa | Solar Protection Polycarbonate Roof | Extra-Wide Panels | Spans Up To 7m | Integrated LED

About this carport

The Rimessa brings architectural quality to the driveway with a solar-control polycarbonate roof set across a clean cubic aluminium frame. It spans up to seven metres on just two posts, with integrated LED lighting built in as standard. The result is covered parking that looks considered and deliberate rather than functional and forgettable.

Most carports are designed to shelter a car and nothing else. The Rimessa is designed to do that while also looking as though it belongs alongside the house rather than in spite of it. Extra-wide polycarbonate panels allow daylight through while reducing glare and heat, the integrated gutter keeps drainage concealed, and the clean frame lines read as an extension of the property rather than a bolt-on structure.

Available in three frame colours to match or complement the home, the Rimessa suits modern properties where the driveway is as much a part of the overall impression as the front garden. For anyone who has found standard carports lacking, the Rimessa provides proper cover and considered design with a lighter polycarbonate roof.

Park under polycarbonate

Pull onto the drive and step out under a clear polycarbonate roof. The car stays dry, frost stays off the windscreen, and the space still feels open rather than boxed in by a solid panel overhead.

Frost-free mornings

Leave for work without scraping ice. The Rimessa keeps overnight frost off the windscreen and door handles, so cold starts become quick starts and the paintwork stays out of the weather.

A dry loading zone

Unload shopping or the kids straight from the boot without getting soaked. The covered span gives you room to open every door and move around the car while the rain stays where it belongs.

Light that lasts

Integrated LED means the drive is lit the moment you arrive home in the dark. No fumbling for keys, no shadowed corners, just a clean pool of light over the parking bay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most freestanding carports fall under permitted development, but limits apply near boundaries, on listed properties and in conservation areas. Check with your local planning office before ordering, since rules vary by council and by how close the structure sits to the highway.

The Rimessa uses impact-resistant polycarbonate roofing designed for overhead use. The lightweight panels resist everyday knocks while continuing to protect the car and the people getting in and out of it.

The polycarbonate roof is pitched so rain and melting snow run to the gutter. Heavy snow should still be cleared in extreme weather, as the warranty covers normal loading rather than exceptional storm build-up beyond the rated specification.

The Rimessa is a two-post span sized for a single vehicle. If you expect to cover two cars, look at a wider or modular option now, as retrofitting a second bay to an existing polycarbonate span is rarely straightforward.

Water runs off the pitched polycarbonate into an integrated gutter and down through the posts, keeping the drive clear of run-off. Keep the channels free of leaves so the system flows properly through autumn and winter.
