Maldon Garden Transformation: The 6m "Room with a View"
24th September 2026: A made to measure concrete pad in Maldon, Essex became a 6m × 3.5m glass garden room built around the view. It has a solar control polycarbonate roof to manage the sun, frameless sliding glass doors that open fully to the garden, a grey-tinted privacy wall, and remote-controlled LED lighting built into the roof beams.

Many verandas and pergolas fall under permitted development, but it depends on the size, height, position and whether your home is listed or in a conservation area. We'll flag anything that needs checking during your design visit.
Often, yes. The posts need a solid foundation, so we'll check your patio during the design visit and let you know if any footings are needed.
