One straight edge, nothing to distract from it

Most cassette awnings soften the box with a curve or a trim strip. The Kubata doesn't. It keeps the cassette a single straight-edged rectangle, with the fixing material hidden behind a back plate so nothing interrupts the line.

It scales properly too: widths to 7m run on a single unit, and beyond that it couples into a two-unit system, so a full-width patio gets one continuous shade line rather than a join in the middle of the view.

A single unit runs to 7m wide with a projection to 4m. Beyond that, two units couple together with a jockey cover at the join, so a very wide patio still reads as one continuous awning.

Yes. The Kubata's back plate covers the fixing material and cabling, which is what gives it its clean, uninterrupted cassette line compared with an open-cassette awning.

LED spotlights are only built in at the point of manufacture, so they need to be specified when you order. They cannot be added to a standard Kubata cassette afterwards.

The Kubata is rated to wind scale 5 on the Beaufort scale. It should be retracted above that; the wind lock safety device comes as standard within its rating.

Yes, motor drive is standard on every Kubata. A crank drive can be specified instead if you would rather not run power to it, though this isn't available alongside the LED option.
